What is Visual Memory?
Visual memory is the ability to recall information you have seen. It plays a crucial role in reading, navigation (remembering maps), and recognizing faces. This test specifically measures your short-term visual working memory.
How to Play
- Watch: A random pattern of white tiles will flash on the grid.
- Memorize: You have about 1 second to memorize the positions of the white tiles.
- Repeat: Once the tiles reset, click on the squares that were part of the pattern.
- Progress: Each level adds more tiles and expands the grid size (from 3x3 up to 6x6).
Scoring Ranks
- Level 1-4 (Average): Most people can reach this stage.
- Level 5-8 (Above Average): Good focus and pattern recognition.
- Level 9+ (Superior): Exceptional visual memory skills.
Tips for Improvement
Try to group the tiles into shapes (like a triangle or a line) rather than remembering them as individual dots. This technique is called "chunking" and is used by memory champions.
